Pipeline » MTR105 for Cardiac Surgery-Related Hypotension
Accumulated clinical experience as well as a controlled clinical trial performed by Meditor proved MTR105 to be safe and highly effective in stabilizing blood pressure in patients with cardiac surgery-related hypotension. Throughout these trials MTR105 was effective in elevating and maintaining blood pressure at a safe level, and did not cause overshoot to levels that are considered dangerous.
A Phase II Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics trial for the Cardiac Surgery indication is currently in progress in the US. The study is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose-escalating study. It aims to assess the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of MTR105 in Cardiac Surgery induced hypotension patients during weaning off cardiopulmonary bypass. The study will evaluate a total of 32 patients and it is being conducted under FDA's approved IND number. WIRB approval wsa granted and patient recruitment is ongoing.
